Children
LOGOS registration
packets have been mailed and are due by September 7. If you have a child,
grandchild, neighbor or friend who has not been a part of LOGOS in the past and
would like to receive information and a registration packet, please contact Shawn Chambers and a
registration packet will be mailed to the child. When requesting a registration
form, please send the child’s name, the name of the child’s parent, address,
child’s age and grade level.
Adults
Learning and spiritual
nurturing is not intended to cease when a person becomes an adult. This fall
FPC is expanded its Wednesday night opportunities for adults allow for
opportunities to do just that. These opportunities on Wednesdays include:
“Disciple III: Remember Who You Are,” from 5:15-6:45
p.m. in the DeVore Room. Cathy Northrup will lead this class which open to all
those who have completed the Disciple I class. The cost for the book is $35
which you will receive on the first night. (Please bring a check or cash
sometime during first couple weeks of class.) If you have not signed up for the
Disciple III, or the Disciple I class (see below), please call the church
office or email Amy by
August 31.
Another opportunity
for adults is a new discussion- oriented class about family concerns facilitated
by Amy Baumgartner. In the fall the group will look at children with topics such
as being the spiritual leader of your children, prayer, and blessing your
children spiritually. This is open to parents and grandparents alike. In the
spring the group will tackle the subjects of relationships and marriage. This
class will meet in the McComb Room from 5:15-6:30 p.m.
After classes, as the
children move to Recreation Time and Bible Study, the adults will be able to
eat together in the West Dining Room. The cost for this meal will be $4.
Following the meal, adults will have the opportunity to help clean up the kitchen
and choir members can go directly to choir rehearsal.
Disciple I begins
Monday, September 15
Join other Christians
studying and learning more about the Bible through the Disciple Class.
Disciple I will meet Mondays at 5:30 -7:00 p.m. beginning September 15.
Please register by August 31 by calling the office or emailing Amy Baumgartner.
Youth
True Blue, the
Wednesday night youth group for middle and high school students, begins its Wednesdays
with dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the
Youth Lounge on the
third floor of the Case Building. Following dinner, the youth choir practices
then the group finishes up their evening with Bible study, discussion, and some
“hanging out” time in the Youth Lounge. Contact Geri Doll for additional
information.
Music
As in past years,
James Ringers will rehearse on Wednesday at 5:45 in the Bell Room. Choir will
rehearse at 7:00 p.m. in the Choir Room.
